Alice in Stitches is a very large designer plush artwork that I made for the exhibition "Curiosity Often Leads to Trouble - A Tribute to Alice in Wonderland". This was held at The Art of Framing in Normal Heights, San Diego in April 2007.
Every detail is handstitched, including the checkerboard base which took a loooong long time to make. There is a hidden motor underneath the Mad Hatter, so that he spins around like the Teacup Ride at Disneyland!
In 2012 I added 2 new characters, The Cheshire Cat and The White Rabbit (complete with working plush stopwatch), for exhibition in the art show at San Diego Comic Con.
